Flixton Sawmill Ltd was established in 1987 as Wykeham Sawmill Ltd.

The company steadily expanded over those first years and as we had out-grown our original location, we relocated to our current 6-acre site and changed our name to Flixton Sawmill Ltd on 2nd January 2000.

As a family run business with over 45 years in the timber industry, we employ a team comprising of upwards of 20 members of our local community. Several members of our staff have many years of experience, incredible industry knowledge and have been with the company for many years.

Our stock range is impressive, from timber hardward to logs and kindling, and from timber buildings to log stores and more.

In the early years of company, we started milling Pitt props and sawing timber orders for customers, we then moved on to manufacturing excavator mats, pallets and packaging materials.

We saw the opportunity to diversify into new markets, supplying quality fencing and decking to both retail and trade customers.

Once we established ourselves in this area, we moved into supplying garden buildings, utility buildings and animal shelters.

We now produce on site several hundred quality timber buildings each year. We take pride in moving things forward within the industry, from manufacturing our buildings from thicker materials, only sourcing the best slow grown, sustainable, Swedish redwood timber, to being the first local producer to supply our entire range manufactured out of preservative treated timber.

We found that we had capacity in the winter season and although we have always sold firewood, we started to produce logs around 15 years ago. Since then, we have grown our logs business from virtually nothing, to us now being the largest quality logs supplier in the area.

We have built up a large, loyal, returning customer base. Thank you for considering purchasing from us, your Flixton Sawmill team.
