Your Garden and Outdoor Space

Whether you have a tiny yard or a vast garden, there is something for just about every size of outdoor space.

Most wood items are very durable and can stand the test of time and variable weather conditions, providing the timber is cared for properly.

Once the furniture is in place at your property, providing it is done correctly, each item can be either painted, or treated.

This will need to be done regularly to keep your timber furniture in good condition.

Looking after it will also mean it can last for many years.

When the furniture wood has turned a silvery grey colour, this means the wood needs a bit of tender loving care.
Cleaning Your Existing Wooden Garden Furniture

Use warm soapy water and a scrubbing brush or coarse sponge.

Allow the water to soak in for a few minutes before clearing the dirt away with the brush.

Very stubborn stains can sometimes be removed with a sander.

Using a hose pipe or buckets of water, wash off the dirty water and allow your furniture to dry.

It is best to do this before you store your furniture away for the winter, however it can be done in the Spring too.

New Furniture

If your timber items are new, then it will need a gentle clean before use.

Most wooden pieces of furniture arrive in their natural state.

A quick clean can remove dust.
Wood Stains

Once the cleaning prep is completed, many people consider a wood stain.

This product provides a durable, clear top coat and can be used as a stand-along clear wood treatment.

It is ideal for garden furniture, sheds, fences, and more.

We have a range of products, from decking oils, wood preservers, pressure sprayers, fencing brushes and lots more.
Timber Tables and Chairs

These get a lot of use and unfortunately accrue food and drink stains, including wine, fats, oils and more.

For picnic tables and similar, an outdoor table cover can prevent lots of accidents.

If a spillage occurs, clear up immediately.

The Benefits of Outdoor Furniture

Having wooden garden furniture provides you with comfortable ways of spending quality time outdoors.

From useful shelves, curved designs to stylish looks, each item is expertly made and is a great addition to any garden.

Providing each item is cared for, the furniture will give you many years of great ‘service’.
Storage

When the clocks go back, and the nights pull in, it is time to think about moving your garden furniture into storage if you can.

Excessive cold and moisture can take their toll.

If your furniture is moveable, then move it into a shelter or a more shaded area.

While not always possible, furniture should be stored either in a garage or shed.

If your furniture is fixed into position or too heavy to move, consider investing in furniture covers.
Other Items for Your Outdoor Space

From lattices to gates, from sheds and fencing to garden buildings, we have an extensive range both in store and available to order online.
