Flixton Sawmill 'Sponsors' Staxton Roundabout

With several main roads in the area, including the A64, the A1039, the A165, the A170 and the A171, one of the busiest arterial routes is the A64.

The roundabout at Staxton signals to many drivers that the Yorkshire Coast, including Scarborough and Filey, is not too far away!

And now, this well-known part of the local road network also tells drivers and passengers that Flixton Sawmill is close by!

This busy roundabout is now proudly sponsored by Flixton Sawmill.

As you carefully ‘get into lane’ you will see our bright blue and yellow signs standing in place.

And as you know, the Flixton Sawmill site is just moments from Staxton Roundabout, along the A1039 road heading towards Filey.

You might well ask, why are we advertising at Staxton Roundabout?

Many of us will be familiar with other roundabouts being sponsored, particularly near York.

The passing traffic is significant, and the hope is that our colourful signage will help us as a local, independent business, promote our brand.
It is also quite near where our business is located, and has been since 2000.

We have ensured the signs are safely in place with concrete footings, and they appear on three ‘sides’ of the roundabout.

This means you can see them as you head into Scarborough, Filey or back towards York.

This roundabout is also close to the now much-loved Staxtonbury Festival, taking place in July 2024.

Those eagle-eyed among you may have spotted the additional signage we have opposite Musham Bank petrol station.

We also have promotional signage in place at the Flamingo Land Stadium, where Scarborough Athletic Football Club football matches take place.
