FAQs

Where will my logs be dropped?

We deliver to the kerbside, or onto your drive or front garden where our vehicle can get access. We can't drag bags down driveways or into garages and gardens, so it helps to think about where you'd like them left.

Can I collect logs from the sawmill instead?

Yes, you can buy from our site at Flixton or get in touch to arrange delivery. We're open Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 12pm.

What's the difference between hardwood and softwood logs?

Hardwood generally burns longer and steadier, while softwood lights quickly and gives good heat. We supply both, kiln dried and ready to burn.

Is delivery included in the price?

Delivery is included for bulk bags and loose loads in our main local postcodes around Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington. Some outlying areas, such as Malton, Pickering and parts of the Whitby area, have a small delivery charge, which you'll see before you pay.

What does "Ready to Burn" mean?

Delivery is included for bulk bags and loose loads in our main local postcodes around Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington. Some outlying areas, such as Malton, Pickering and parts of the Whitby area, have a small delivery charge, which you'll see before you pay.

Why are kiln dried logs better than seasoned or green wood?

Wetter wood wastes energy boiling off water, which means less heat, more smoke and more soot building up in your flue. Kiln dried logs are consistently dry, so you know what you're getting every time.
