Timber bearers are essential to any garden building being installed onto a concrete base or flagstone base. 75mm x 75mm usage class 4 timber bearers have a life expectancy of 15 years in ground contact. The bearers run the opposite way to the 45mm x 45mm floor framework and allow for constant airflow underneath the building, also allows the shed to be raised 75mm, meaning the shed will not be in direct contact with the floor, this will prolong your buildings usable life. The bearers are an extra cost (price upon application), however we always recommend these on top of a suitable bases.
